Blood Borne Pathogens
Blood Borne Pathogens is an OSHA mandated discussion of disease which may be acquired through exposure to blood or other body fluids, such as hepatitis B, HIV, STD. Disease-specific information is presented, as well as education pertaining to barrier protection, maintaining a safe workplace, and immunization information. This is more than just talking Hepatitis B immunization. We discuss the current status of Hepatitis C, and a current discussion of HIV post exposure prevention is included. The proposed rules for sharps safety are discussed.
